If you need lots of threads and cannot use 64 bit system your only choice is to minimize the memory usage per thread to conserve virtual memory. If still more simultaneous requests are received, they are stacked up up to the configured maximum (the value of the acceptCount attribute). This is different from the OC4J thread pool model in which separate thread pools are created for each configured thread pool.
