I tried windows update troubleshooter but this error wasn't listed. I installed what you recommended and after that updates are working from the microsoft site and also with automatic updates. How do I get an updated (secure) OS if the only way is to expose myself on the www while updating with an insecure OS? I have the same problem, and I believe it's caused by a powerful worm, because update is only one thing inaccessible to me.

Can anyone help me? Sunday, July 08, 2012 1:56 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Yep.
